Is Swimming Good for Your Skin?

Swimming is a great exercise, it helps you lose weight, tone muscles and reduce blood pressure. Swimming is both a cardio and a strength exercise. But the question whether it is good for your skin, is still so much debated. But today we are going to come to a conclusion. Swimming in general is good for your skin, at least swimming in natural river and sea water is. Because sea and river waters contain natural salts which is good for the skin, especially swimming in sea water, which is perfect. But what about swimming in a regular swimming pool.

Well there are two sides to the coin, first is that chlorine is bad for the skin and the hair, but the second fact is that chlorine is a disinfectant, which means it can kill all the bacteria in the skin and the face, thus prevent acne, so swimming has a dual effect, so what to do about it? The best thing to do is to keep a balance of the time you spend in water, keep the time you spend in water balanced, make sure that you don’t spend too much time in a chlorinated swimming pool, make sure you spend an optimal time in the swimming pool. And then get out, this is perfect for your skin, this will kill the bacteria that are infecting your skin, and thus getting rid of acne. Spending too much time in the swimming pool would have the opposite effect, since chlorine will trigger the skin to release a ton of oil, which can give rise to acne and pimples. So spending balanced time in the swimming pool is a great way to get started.
